What documents do I need to fill out for replacement car?
You will have to sign the hire agreement & delivery/collection short term rental agreement, storage agreement (if provided), statement of truth for impecuniosities. Further you will be requested to provide driving and vehicle's documents along with any other document if asked by third party insurance company.
Why so much paperwork?
All the insurance companies require most of the relevant information/documents to process a claim promptly to mitigate the losses and to validate the claim from all aspects like need of hire, impecuniosities and legally capable to drive an insured car at the time accident.

When will I receive a replacement vehicle (credit hire )?
If your vehicle is unroadworthy (off the road) and if you have completed all the paperwork, we can provide a replacement car to you in the same working day or in case of any issue we may deliver the vehicle within 24 hours.
What does credit hire mean and do I need to pay for the credit hire car?
It's when a hire vehicle is given on credit, but rather than paying upfront for hire charges, the company giving the hire vehicle provides credit for the charges being accrued. Basically it means recovering all the costs from the at fault party of their insurance. Therefore Continental Car Hire Ltd recover all the costs like storage charges, recovery charges, repair charges and credit hire charges from the at fault party's insurance company on behalf of yourself. You may not pay for any service provided. However, you may be required to help us in recovering all these costs from third party's insurance company.
Who will pay a penalty charge notice if Continental Car Hire or I receive a legal PCN while driving your car?
We will check the date of contravention. If this date fall in the period of rental agreement with yourself then you will be asked to pay such penalty charge notice before due date from your own pocket. If this date does not fall in the period of rental agreement then you will not pay for those penalty charge notices.
Which Repairer can I use to repair my vehicle?
We do have our own in-house hi-tech garage and highly professional engineers to repair the vehicle damages impeccably following a non-fault road traffic accident and since we are not liable to any insurance company therefore we will ensure your vehicle is repaired at your best interest with high quality - low cost value OR you can choose any other garage to repair your own vehicle.
How does Continental Car Hire Ltd cover its costs?

What type of vehicle will I receive as a courtesy car/credit hire car?
Continental Ca Hire Ltd has extensive range of replacement vehicles and you will be given a like to like car in replacement. e.g. if you have a PCO/PHV hatchback, you will given a hatchback. If you have a prestige car, you will be given a prestige car and so on. Please note that it is subject to availability of the vehicle in the fleet. e.g. if you have an old yet prestige vehicle, we may not be able to entertain you with such type of prestige replacement but still we will give you a good condition vehicle for use of social domestic and pleasure purposes.
What if I am injured and want to claim personal injury?

What if I want to go abroad while using a hire vehicle?
You will be requested to return the vehicle to mitigate the losses and shall be offered again once you are back to the country.
What if I want to change the replacement vehicle?
Yes, you can change the courtesy car/credit hire car with any other like to like vehicle from our offices.
How would I know about the progress of my claim?

What should I do if I don't have enough storage space to store my damaged car?
Simply let us know, we will recover your vehicle from the spot of accident and we will put your vehicle in our hi-tech storage located in White City of London an easy approach. We have a good size storage bays for every vehicle. We have extensively installed CCTV cameras in our storage for a fool proof security and we inspect on daily basis. We have a well maintained dehumidified storage environment.

What is the difference between credit hire vehicle and courtesy car?
Credit Hire Vehicle
If you have a non fault road traffic accident and your vehicle is unroadworthy, you may require a vehicle to continue your work. You will contact a top accident management company or credit hire specialist to provide you a like to like credit hire car while your own vehicle is off the road. credit hire company will arrange an appropriate vehicle for you on your instructions which you will use till you get money from at fault party's insurance company to repair your own vehicle. Once your vehicle is repaired, you will return the credit hire vehicle to company. Afterward, credit hire company will make arrangements to recover all the cost of hire from third party insurance.
If your own vehicle is in garage for repair as damaged because of a road traffic accident, you may require a vehicle meanwhile to continue your work. You will contact a credit hire to provide you a courtesy car which you will use till your own vehicle is repaired and ready to use. Sometime garages do have facility of a courtesy car to facilitate their customers. In other case, you get it from a credit hire company.
When should you get a credit hire vehicle?
If you have been involved in a road traffic accident and want a replacement vehicle then you must be sure for the following;

Why Credit hire vehicle costs more than the equivalent vehicle for daily, weekly on monthly rent on cash?
Because credit hire companies bear the risk of losing the case or in between settlements and/or get the money at the end of the credit hire period which may take months or years to recover their cost. But, cash hire companies charge the customer on daily, weekly or monthly basis without any risk of losing anything.
